About Colchester Lathes
Colchester is one of the most recognised and respected names in the world of manual centre lathes. Established in the United Kingdom in 1917, Colchester built its reputation on producing robust, accurate and reliable machines designed for both industrial production and precision toolroom work.
The Triumph series, in particular, became a benchmark in many engineering shops due to its solid construction, long service life, and ease of operation. Colchester lathes are known for their excellent spindle accuracy, intuitive controls and strong parts support, making them a favourite across education, maintenance, fabrication and manufacturing environments.

We would like to extend a note to all prospective customers. We are happy to provide details of freight companies that transport machines anywhere in Australia or worldwide. However, we want to remind customers that the machines are not insured during transport by either the transport companies or Newmac Equipment. We strongly advise that customers speak with their usual insurance company to take out transport insurance.
