This Avery bench hardness tester was made in England. It reads both the Rockwell B and C scales on a large, clear analogue dial, so it suits toolrooms, heat treatment checks, maintenance workshops and incoming material inspection.
The machine uses a deadweight load system with a handwheel-operated elevating screw. It’s simple to use and has none of the electronics that can fail on newer machines.
