Bed Wear Inspection
We have inspected the bed wear on this lathe by mounting a dial indicator on the saddle and zeroing it at the extreme tailstock end of the bed, which is the least-used area. The saddle was then traversed toward the chuck. No movement was observed on the dial indicator. Had any movement been present, the amount of indicator movement would represent the relative bed wear compared to the unworn reference area.
